TORRES DEL PAINE HIKING CAMP (5 DAYS)
Discover Torres del Paine hiking the most amazing trails!: The French Valley, Grey Glacier and the Paine Towers. This trails are part of the famous multiday W trek. Get very close to the magnificent Grey Glacier on a beautiful navigation on Grey Lake and get to the top of Ferrier lookout for a unique view of the Paine Massif.
On this trip, you will spend every night at the same place, far away from the crowded accommodations of the W trek. Pehoe Campsite is located on the shores of Pehoe Lake, a quiet place with amazing views of Paine Massif, where it’s very easy to spot native wildlife. Our private transportation will take you to the head trails every day.
This, like all of our trips is a Self-guided trip. It gives you all the freedom to be your own guide, but without doing all the hard work that involves planning a big trip! We will do all that work for you. BUT, we will include an English-Speaking guide for the first day! so that you can get all the amazing info on history, geology, flora and fauna of this incredible place!

ITINERARY
Welcome to your self-guided trek trip.
Afternoon briefing at Hello Patagonia ́s office (schedule to be confirmed) we will give you a great waterproof map, your printed documents for the trip and a delicious lunch for the next day.
Difficulty: Low / Medium
Distance: Sofia: 2 hrs. Wildlife Trail: 2.5 hrs. Sarmiento: 1 hr

Pick up at your accommodation in Puerto Natales. 30 min drive to Sofia Lagoon, an amazing place which far away from the crowds! You will hike along with your local guide. Benitez Hill is the home of many Andean Condors! making it a very special place to spot this legendary birds.
2 hrs. drive to Torres del Paine National Park. which was declared a Biosphere Reserveby UNESCO in 1978. The entrance fee to the park is included.
The adventure continues with the Wildlife hike, where you will be able to spot Guanacos, Condors, Ñandu and maybe even a Puma! Your guide will provide valuable info on the history, geology, flora and fauna of the area.
Optional hike to Sarmiento Chico Lake with stunning views of the Paine Massif.
Drive to Pehoe campsite. Your guide will say goodbye and return to Puerto Natales.

Private transportation to Las Torres Information Center. Today you will hike the most famous trail in the park. Half the hike is an uphill almost all the way, but it is completely worth it when you get to the Towers Lookout! A unique view of the three huge granite giants and it’s turquoise Lagoon.
Hike back to Las Torres Welcome center where your driver will be waiting to take you back to Pehoe Camp.
Difficulty: Medium / Demanding
Distance: French Lookout 7 to 8 hrs, 13.4 km Elevation Gain: 1,192 m.
Highlights: French Valley, Paine Horns, Paine Grande Mountain, French Glacier.

Today you will explore the beautiful French Valley. You driver will take you to Pudeto dock (20 min drive from camp.) 8:30 hrs catamaran to Paine Grande. (tickets incldued).
After the beautiful navigation (40 min) you will start hiking from Paine Grande to Italiano Ranger Station. The trail starts to go up after this point towards the famous French Lookout, where you will have a panoramic view of the western sector of the Valley and the mountains such as the North Peak of Paine Grande, Castillo (Castle), Cota 2000, Catedral, Aleta del Tiburon (Shark’s Fin) and of course, the famous Paine Horns!
Hike back to Paine Grande to catch the 17:00 hrs catamaran boat back. Your driver will be waiting for you at Pudeto dock to take you to Pehoe Camp.

Distance: 2.5 to 3 hrs.
Highlights: Grey Glacier, Grey Lake’s icebergs, Paine Horns, Salto Grande waterfall

After breakfast, the private transportation will drive you to Lago Grey Hotel. You will get on an incredible navigation to the fronts of Grey Glacier. The boat gets very close to the ice giant!
After this amazing experience, you will enjoy a delicious lunch at Lago Grey Hotel with amazing views of the Lake and Paine Massif.
Afternoon visit to Salto Grande waterfall. Short and easy hike to Los Cuernos lookout, one of our favorite views of the park!
Drive back to Pehoe Camp.

Distance: 1.5 to 2 hrs

Meals Included: Breakfast and Packed lunch at Pehoe Restaurant
Today you can wake up later and recover! After breakfast, you will say goodbye to the park with a beautiful short hike to Condor lookout, a unique view of the park!
Or, if you are still feeling strong, you can hike to Ferrier lookout! A very steep trail, but with a rewarding view of the massif from a higher ground!
Drive back to Puerto Natales (2 hrs).
